Awakening Fashion!

Fashion is everything, not just the lenght of the pants for the next season. It is how we think, feel, live, and see the world. What we wear and how is just an expression of it, a manifest from our inner world. Standing in front of the "empty" wardrobe can very often be just a lack of joy and creativity. And it definitely has to exist in you not in the closet.
Fashion is not just the privilege of fancy industries, it belongs to everybody and
you can find it everywhere. You meet it on the streets, in the colours of nature, places and people you visit can give a lot of inspiration. Everything has a colours, style and shape. Once you let creativity fly, life becomes much more joyful and suddenly the "empty" closet feels full...

TheTime Most Valued!

Give yourself time,

and you ll meet miracles...

Time most valued is the time while we are doing nothing. It is the time in peace, silence and relaxation. But it is not so easy to find or to be in it. Why? We have tons of books and great magazines, all giving as a lot of tips and guidance, still it is hard. It is much easier to be busy and organized, many of us even think that being unorganized is waisting of time . Which is strange, because some of the most brilliant ideas, most life changing thoughts might come only in total state of calmness.

People have different reasons to carry this heavy load of duties. It might be an excellent way to deny pain, gilt or any other negativity hidden inside. Others might prove their importance to the world, partner, friend, family, etc.

So how is the best way to start loving this special time?

Find the place you love. It can be anywhere: your favorite cafe, seaside, an old park or a garden or do not even leave home. You may sit down or maybe you wish to walk, this will look funny in a cafe of course ((:, you can have book with you or no, drink some wine or no, music is nice, still you might enjoy the silence. There is no need to be alone, but sometimes aloness is the best.

And then just let go! It might be hard at first, but try little by little and one day you will become a master. There are treasures hidden into the kingdom of silence, and the master knows it...

Thoughts by Sir Ben Kingsley!

Explore as many dynamics and paterns in human behavior as you can as a story teller...

Camera can look into your soul, but with the audience in the theatre you have to throw your soul them...

I changed my name from Krishna Bhanji to Ben Kingsley in order to play Mahatma Ganthi.

There s a circle!

I have not read rewews since 1984. Anybody could tell you, my wife would be the first one.

I handle fame by not reading anything, by not fliping throught certain magazines, I just do not go into that area...

The wounds will stay with you far longer than news will stay in the memory of the readers, whether it is good or bad...

The negative site of the fame I coupe by living in English countryside, I m really engaged by bringing beautiful movies to people, telling wonderful stories...The rest really should not interest me, it is not part of my life.

I m dealing with it by looking at something more beautiful...

The Good Old & New...

Old friends pass away, new friends appear. It is just like the days. An old day passes, a new day arrives.

The important thing is to make it meaningful:

a meaningful friend- or a meaningful day.

Dalai Lama.

Everything that s old is new

and everything that s new is old

Stephany Mills.

I wish they d had electric guitars in cotton fields back in the good old days.

A whole lot of things would have been straightened out

Jimmi Hendrix.

I won t quit to become someones old lady

Janis Joplin.

It is easy to say how we love new friends, and what we think of them, but words can never trace out all the fibers that knit us to the old

George Eliot.

The worst thing about new books is that they keep us from reading the old ones
John Woods.

Empty Your Drawers!

There is something important to know while you are following your style, it is called:"emptying drawers". We people have been collectors already in ancient times when it was berries and mushrooms. Now most of us is continuing with usual stuff like:clothes, dishes,shoes...Basically everything you can call old and unnecessary. Maybe it comes as a reflex from stone age times, the need for safety. What ever it is you do not need it anymore and specially when it comes to fashion. Changes in fashion are happening faster and faster, to keep up there is no time to think about safety or to be scared.
Still it is good to know that there are some exceptions while you are tossing away meaningless.
These are the things which will never loose their value, in fact it even rises with the time. You may come out with your just bought wardrobe of the new season and this old accessory or jacket is exactly what was missing. These amazing things just change with the time!
So the advice is :make space for the new, but never forget the good old...

Paulo Coelho

Do not even try to be like anybody else and do not be afraid to take risks.

Waylon Jennings.

Let Style Get You!

It has been a lot of talk about the style: what is style, who is stylish and so one, so one...but how to become stylish, how to find it?

One thing is for sure,by buying another fashion magazine and learn all trend tips does not do much. It just does not reach up to you if something very important inside is still locked up. So how do you open up? It is easy, just imagine the closed door and what happens when you open it up.

Anything can happen! So this is how stylish people usually are, enough crazy to let anything happen. Even if we make mistakes by taking the risk, the glory of finding something marvelous is worth it. Every single person on this planet has a style and there is a million ways to express it. Just be one of these"mad" ones who is not afraid of the closed doors. Go and open it already today because your treasure is there...

The Blessed Autumn!

Once again we are blessed by the autumn and the capricious fashion calender has made its decisions. The best is just smile and hope it will be for our best. And it is, because we are offered again a very big selection of everything and all we need to do is put together a fashion puzzle by our own personal style. It is a splendid task and the biggest pleasure is: it will never be done.
The woman who is a mixed combination of ultra femininity and the strong minded independence, almost a man like, is an icon also at this season. But she has became more softer and sensual as the fashion spiral has stopped this time close to 50es,60es and 70es.
That means a lot of great accessories, long necks, sweaters, a lot of hair in a different ways, animal prints, fur accessories, sharp-toed shoes and etc, etc. But she is stil a strong and independent woman, so what ever there is in fashion, she follows her own style, her own path...

Ralph Lauren Fall 2010 !

Soft, elegant, famine, but strong and serious. Ralph Laurens woman is bohemian and classy, what an elegant combination is this...

Enchanted By Quiet Places!

When you go to Italy never forget the quiet places. These are the places where most of the tourists do not go, but maybe that is the reason why it is possible there, to sense peace and mystery of the true moments. This is what you will experience while walking in Montepulciano or Assisi, both amazing medieval towns up in the mountains in their meditative calmness. What can be greater than to disappear yourself somewhere in peace and beauty with the companionship of your own thoughts and dreams. Old houses are looking at you in their dignified silence, somewhere from the window comes old melody, then stops... and when you reach to the town square, you can see preparations of the late night symphony concert in the sound of the evening bells...

I have been all things unholy. If God can work through me, he can work through anyone.

Start by doing what is necessary, then do what is possible, and suddenly you are doing impossible

Living With Style!

Life with style is life truly enjoyed. One of the ways to do it, is to visit places which enrich you spiritualy and emotionaly. Italy is definitely greatest of them. You can find so much from there: great, old culture, when you walk in little medieval mountain towns like Montepulciano and mysterious pilgrim hideaway Assisi, enjoy the food and landscape in Tuscany or you visit some of the magnificent islands, Elba for example. Elba truly reminds little hidden paradise island with its turquoise watter beaches, so clean and freshening that you feel like floating there forever. Same fascinating are its harbor towns, like Porto Azzurro. It is beautiful and exiting in day light, but maybe even more at night time, when the whole harbour is in its lights, little stores and restorans are all open and you find yourself walking in the warm and soft Mediterranean indigo night with many other happy people...

Summer, Summer...

What is this magic about the summer? Why suddenly everything feels much brighter and blessed? Something just rushes you out and it is almost impossible to sit in the house and write for example the blog. All the ideas seem to be out there: in the woods, near the seaside or anywhere else where there is light, sounds and smells from nature, which makes your creativity to blossom.
So we should all take our cameras, painting tools or whatever it takes for us to spread the creativity and dive into the summer. Because it is like balsam for us, this marvelous Nordic summer...

"This moment contines all moments!" C.S.Lewis.

Simple moments in life are not usually something we think about. Whole life stands together with moments. Some are important, some meaningless, at least we think so, and time is always there receiving new and waving to old with the winds of past.

Here is a suggestion:

if you notice something special today, the unique shape of the cloud up in the sky, gorgeous dress on the fancy boutique window or one beautiful tree, then just take a moment.

Because the tree blossoms only for a few days, the cloud does not hold the "pose", and dresses - they just get out of fashion too fast...

Quotes...

In the name of God, stop for a moment, case your work, and look around you.

Leo Tolstoy

The important thing is this:

to be able at any moment to sacrifice what we are for what we could become.

Charles Du Bos

Sometimes at the best moments a single word or a look is enough.

Honore de Balzac

The golden moments in the stream of life rush past of us and we see nothing but sand, the angels come to wisit us, and we only know them when they are gone.

George Eliot

As happens sometimes, a moment settled and hovered and remained for much more than a moment. And sound stopped, movement stopped for much, much more than a moment.

John Steinbeck

Eternety is a mere moment, just long enough for a joke.

Hermann Hesse.

The Story!

When it comes to life we all want it to become a great story. Something you can be proud of, tell to others and have a lots of good memories. This planet is covered with different stories, some of them are great, some more simple. But there is one common thing, only one person knows what is the story about. The very person who lives this story.

Knowing your story starts from knowing who you are. All of these important parts of your life: career, image, even your dreams and partner are not you.

"You " starts from somewhere much deeper and the understanding of this is the beginning of the greatest story.

Forever You...

The Long Skirt!

Women love long skirts! It has been one of the fashion favorites since it came with hippies and stayed. Just at some decades it is a bit more appreciated .The skirt is by the Wikipedia: "... a tube- or cone- shaped garment that hangs from the waist and cowers all or part of the legs."

Short history of it shows that:"... the beginning around 1915 hemlines for daytime dresses left the floor for good. For the next 50 years skirts became short in 20 ies, then long 1930, then again shorter during the war years...", back to long because of"the New Look" and then shortest of all in 60 ies. Since sweet 70 ies we are allowed to wear any lenghts of the skirt and long maxi skirt has been one of the trends. There is many reasons why to prefer it: since there is a lot of textile you can play with it creating different designs and patterns, to make them alive by the wind, it makes your movement more gracious and gives more value for your legs as they are seen very seldom, also it brings out your gorgeous waistline and elegant silhouette, long skirt is irreplaceable when you dance, it can almost make you flying and finally, sometimes in a very extreme situations it is a good cower for the rain...
Something silky and sensual!
Jean Paul Gaultier s ethnic skirt and amazing colour palette of the whole set as usual!
